Background/History: June is a character from the anime Coyote Ragtime Show. She is a combat android and one of Marciano’s Twelve Sisters. She was probably built by Dr. Neilson, an employee of Marciano who handles all of the maintenance and repair work on the Sisters. Her true age and previous history are never revealed but she and all of the Sisters have been around long enough to gain a reputation as deadly assassins.

Madame Marciano the owner/employer of the Sisters is a cyborg. As such she is incapable of having children and this may be a factor in the bitterness that she displays. June and all of her sisters are the daughters that Marciano could never have. In addition to being her own personal hit squad the Sisters act as her servants and children.

Personality/Motivation: June is one of the quietest of the Sisters. She rarely speaks and seems content to act with the group. She is one of the most caring of the Sisters. In several instances she is seen carrying the short-legged and slow-moving August. She tends to the triplets by using one of her knives to open some canned peaches for them. When April is fretting over the fate of May it is June who offers soothing words. However, June is still a killer. She has no problem with killing her opponents and is angered when, in Episode Two, she is fooled into ambushing an empty elevator. She slays a rat with a thrown knife to vent her fury.

June is also spooky. She has a piercing gaze and mannerisms that are a bit unnerving. She gives the impression of someone who is about to snap and will reek dreadful bloodshed when it happens.

Quote: Rarely speaks

Powers/Tactics: June is a knife fighting specialist. She has a collection of throwing knives secreted away within her costume and she is very accurate with them. Her strength allows her to have a surprising range with them. She is also very dangerous in hand to hand combat during which she wields a Rambo-style combat knife in each hand. She is never shown throwing more than a single knife at once. June rarely talks and also seems to be pretty stealthy. In the midst of the raging fire-fight as Sandvil prison she is seen to pounce upon hapless guards and stab them to death. She seems to prefer to engage in hand to hand combat and uses her throwing knives when the range is too great to allow her to close into melee. June is probably best used in stealthy raids. Ideally she is the one to quietly take out sentries when the group wishes to covertly enter a secured area.

She is one of the strongest sisters but not superhumanly so. In one of the last episodes she engages Katana (a physically fit male protagonist) in hand to hand combat. While she clearly has the upper hand he is able to hold off her attack by blocking her knives with his rifle. It takes his utmost efforts to do so.  She often carries the slower moving Sisters. This is a unique form of teamwork in which June gives up her attack but grants heightened mobility to August making the latter’s area effect attacks much more dangerous.

Her spooky appearance grants her a high Presence score but her soliloquies are somewhat lacking.

Campaign Use: June is a stealth warrior. She is the go to person if you want to quietly eliminate a target. From a distance she is hard to distinguish from a young man. Her appearance, so different from the other sisters, may allow her to carry out all sorts of covert missions for the Sisters. How likely is it that the young delivery man going to be suspected of being a female android assassin?

In the middle of raging fire fights June is adept at getting lost in the confusion and giving her team that unexpected boost with a stealthy attack. She could also act as a field commander of lesser underlings. In Episode Two she is given command of a squad of Criminal Guild soldiers during the pursuit through the city.

If the GM wants to make her more effective against groups he can give her an autofire (of 2 or 3) with her knives.

Appearance: At first glance June is creepy looking. She actually looks like a serial killer! She has short black, straight hair and violet eyes. She is the tallest of the Sisters but is also trim with an almost boyish figure. She is about 5’9”. From a distance she can easily be mistaken for a young man. Instead of a maid’s uniform she wears what looks like a butler’s suit; a white blouse with a black string tie, black pants and jacket trimmed with red piping.

June Designer’s Notes:

STR 23: June is second only to July in physical STR. She easily carries and runs with August on her back and is able to throw her daggers over a surprising range with force.

DEX 20: She is stealthy and skilled with thrown weapons and in melee combat.

CON 15: The standard CON of the Sisters.

BODY 15: She is the tallest and probably has about the same mass as her shorter, but more curvaceous, sisters.

INT 10: June is very quiet and seems very much a team player. She command’s a squad of men in Episode Two but they never enter combat while under her command. She never displays any startling leaps of logic.

EGO 12: June has nothing to indicate a higher than normal EGO.

PRE 18: She looks frightening to me.

COM 14: Once you see her up close she has an attractive face and a well proportioned, if trim, body.

PD 12: Standard PD of the full-sized front line combatants.

ED 8: Standard ED.

SPD 4: Nothing to indicate more than a 4 Speed.

REC 15: Standard sister REC.

END 0: Being an android all of their skills, powers, talents, perks and characteristics are bought down to 0 END cost, END therefore becomes a moot point.

STUN 50: She is a full-sized combat android and gets the maximum STUN.
