Designer's Notes: I am uncertain as to exactly what name Kia Asamiya is trying to simulate. The cover to Silent Möbius Side One plainly reads 'Lebia Mavelick'. Viz Graphics altered Lebia's last name 'Maverick', as did Streamline Pictures. In my own Silent Möbius Zeta game, I changed her name to the more normal (and American) sounding 'Linda Maverick'.
Possibly the first person to be recruited into the AMP by Rally Cheyenne, Lebia is originally from Los Angeles. She is what is known as a 'visionaire', and is capable of projecting her consciousness into the cyberspace of the 21st Century's world-wide computer network. She is a quite skilled as a computer 'hacker' and serves as the AMP's data processor, system engineer and manages all of the AMP's technological defenses.
Description: Lebia is tall, blonde and blue eyed, with a long-legged, well proportioned build. She is very polished and exacting in her mannerisms and attitude and is always dressed in the proper AMP uniform. It is interesting to note that Lebia considered the fact that Nami dresses in the traditional robes of a Shinto priestess to be against regulations and bad for morale.
Powers Notes: Lebia's powers are quite complex. Her primary ability is that of projecting herself into 'cyberspace'. Since everyone seems to have different ideas on how to do this, I choose one that was simple in design and execution.
Lebia's ability was designed around the Extradimensional Movement power. She sits inside a large interface shell and sends her mind into to cyberspace to accomplish certain tasks. When using this power, her physical body is left behind and is effectively helpless. So far, the only two places where Lebia has been seen using this interface shell is at AMP Headquarters and her own, private apartments.
When in cyberspace, Lebia has a number of programs at her command. Since most machines in the Silent Möbius universe seem to be fully-fledged AI devices, most of Lebia's attack programs are based of certain EGO-combat powers. All of her attack powers require a successful skill roll to use. I figured this represented the idea of 'hacking' quite nicely. Note: even with the -6 modifier from using her a programs at full power, Lebia still has a 15- Skill Roll!
Aside from her cyberspace skills, Lebia also has access to a communications satellite placed in geosynchronous orbit over Mega-Tokyo. Aside from serving as a storage place for most of her data, this satellite also has two important capabilities. First, it mounts a powerful laser system capable of destroying a small bridge in a single shot. Due to it's destructive power, Lebia needs special permission to use it and the weapon is usually only fired into the non-populated restricted zones of Mega-Tokyo. Lebia can also use utilize the satellites targeting systems to scan the surrounding area, giving her a good view of the entire city.
Using this interface is difficult and time consuming. Although it doesn't require her to utilize her interface shell, she is still limited to either using the computers at headquarters or the detection systems built into the AMP's surveillance ship the Simurgh. (The Simurgh is the immense airship shown at the beginning of Silent Möbius the Movie I.)
Lebia also has three AI devices named Huey, Duey and Louie. These are computer systems built by Lebia to aid her in her work. Huey is a sort of motorcycle, while the other two are computer systems (although Duey was mounted in a car at one point.). Louie is usually used to 'stand watch' while Lebia is running the net.
Disadvantages Notes: Lebia is totally loyal to Rally Cheyenne and is second in command of the AMP. She is very business like in demeanor and attitude and follows orders exactly. She will also ensure that her fellow officers obey the proper rules and regulations and won't tolerate infractions and insubordination. She and Kiddy have argued more than once due to this aspect of her personality. Finally, it should be noted that Lebia is rather protective of her AIs, and once broke down in tears after Katsumi wrecked her spinner.
