WHAT'S NEW?

03/07/2010 -- Another small update. Today I present Henry Gondorff (The Sting) and a reader-submitted Indiana Jones.

02/28/2010 -- A small update. I've added the Everything Else art gallery.

02/21/2010 -- To go with "Sam", I've added Vincent. Over in the RPG Adaptations, I've uploaded HERO System 6E updates of characters and vehicles from Autoduel Champions (which originally came out in 1983!)

02/14/2010 -- I was sent a character sheet for Isamu Alva Dyson (Macross Plus) and have uploaded him. I also have created a character for Robert De Niro's character of "Sam" from Ronin. There's a new vehicle in the Vehicles Section. The Panzer VIII "Maus."

02/07/2010 -- Two things. First, I updated and edited the front page. I removed some links and pages I felt didn't really contribute anything to the site (and were a pain to maintain too boot). Second, I started on my revisions for the Kazei 5 page. As the book is due out by the end of the month I felt it was time for me to update the page and start including useful material for potential players and GMs. I'm not done yet, not by a long shot, and welcome contributions from readers.

01/31/2010 -- Although I wanted to update the Science Fiction Art Gallery... that didn't happen. Instead, I offer three new enteries into the Musical Character Adaptions: Big Iron, the Blacksmith of Brandywine, and the Lightning's Hand. I also offer the 6E revision of Mai Shuranui (or, to be more accurate, my loose adaption of Mai Shuranui).

01/24/10 -- I'm going to try to update every Sunday... we'll see how long that lasts, but I am going to try. Anyway, this week I managed to get the Fantasy Art Gallery put together.

01/17/2010 -- First of all, it seems that a long time ago (as in six months ago, back in July), I posted a character sheet for the Iron Kingdom's Boatman. However, I never linked it to the main Creatures page. I've fixed that error. I've also started to really concentrate on completing a number of partially done projects (of which I seem to have dozens). One of these is the cast of Slugfest Games Red Dragon Inn, all written for Hero System 5E and the Turakian Age. Speaking of comedic fantasy, I also present one of the silliest character sheets I've ever developed -- a typical boggie from the parody novel Bored of the Rings. On a far more serious note, I also offer the Daskdraudigs from Elizabeth Moon's The Deed of Paksenarrion. In preparation for a Pulp Hero-era project, I present the 6E version of the Sikorsky S-38 A flying boat. Finally, I was sent a file detailing various Castle Falkenstein racial templates written up for Hero System 5E.

01/11/2010 -- Recently, Vesa Lehtinen, who's Finnish, wrote me to correct the names of some of my original characters. I've since made those edits as well as numerous others that he submitted and uploaded them. I've also finished an ages old project by creating character sheets for the Three Priestesses of Mount Muldoon from the anime El-Hazard: The magnificent World. And since I created the Priestess using 6th Edition, I converted all of the old El-Hazard characters from 5E to 6E. In addition, author John Stevens sent me a character sheet for Captain John Sinclar, from his novel Uncommon Valour. Yes, you read that right, the author of the character did the HERO System adaptation!

12/30/2009 -- Well... here it is, the last update for the year 2009. I've tinkered with the website here and there, with two major updates. First, I added the "Pin-ups" section to the Art Gallery. Second, I've revised, updated, and edited The Montauk Project for 6th Edition! It features new images, Hero Designer files, and even a downloadable PDF of the entire article.

10/25/2009 -- Kazei 5 2nd Edition continues to move along, with art arriving and yet another round of edits being entered. Meanwhile, I continue to work on various projects here, such as even more HERO System 6th Edition characters. Almost all of them are on the Original Characters page. They are:

Arnold Helker (vampire), William Dixion (1950s scientist with super powers), Jasmiine Hawkins (super-strength sixteen year-old), Snow Angel (beautiful winged woman), A.P.E. (intelligent gorilla), Grenadier (Victorian-era superhuman), Steel Maiden (she's nigh-invulnerable!), Tien Feng Mo (mistress of the winds and master martial artist), Force Majure (his energy matrix gives him access to fantastic powers), Susano Orbatos (he's a god! really!), Demon Hunter Kanu (scourge of the yokai who haunt side streets of Tokyo), Michael Limner (a 15th Century squire), Sanura (a Turakian Age Dumawe/human half-breed), Sidony (a fantasy thief), Queen Jayanith of Natarajam (from the Valdorian Age), Captain Jiranee Jenvirava (an elf in human service), Marie Sanguine (a pirate from the Golden Age of Piracy), and finally Aamurusko Hamara (a goddess).

Work also continues on the Art Gallery. The following are complete and open for your inspection: Kazei 5, Silent Mobius Zeta, Society for Creative Anachronism, Arms and Armor, Animals and Monsters, Anime Art, Typography, and Gift Art. Enjoy!

09/13/2009 -- More HERO System 6th Edition characters! First, you can look at a generic Soldier of Sparta (from the film 300). Then take a look at some Original Characters updated to 6E! They are: Agent 0016, a Dark Champions creation; Avalon, a Champions sorcerer; Desierto Abominacion, a Post-Apocalyptic Hero mutant cactus; Eclipse, a Champions energy projector; Lennart's Vengeance, a Fantasy Hero animated ship's figurehead; and Nina Corvic, a Galactic Champions cyborg.

09/05/2009 -- I proudly announce the first HERO System 6th Edition compatible characters posted to the website! Take a look at Bryan Mills (Taken) and the Ubersoldat (Return to Castle Wolfenstien). In addition, over on the Comics Characters page you'll find a selection of comic book characters now in the public domain (mainly due to be created back in the 1940s).

08/27/2009 -- I've updated the Art Gallery, cleaning up several sections and doing final edits.

08/10/2009 -- Another Major Update. I've split the Movie and Television sections, to make navigation easier. I've also gone and changed the layout of any image gallery. Instead of 6 images across, I've gone for 5. I've also decided to limit a page to 50 images (a 5x10 grid), thus making them load a little faster. I'm also rebuilding the Art and Photo Galleries. New material, new layout, the works. As for new characters, I offer Hagar the Horrible.

07/24/2009 -- Major Update today. I've created a new section -- Western Animation-Derived Hero System Character Adaptations. I realized I had enough of them to warrant their own section and made the change. I'm also debating splitting the Movies and TV section in two, into "Movies" and "TV." And to kick off the new section, I present Bolt the Superdog and Penny from the film Bolt.

Aside from the new section, I discovered a number of Hero Designer files for characters I've never posted to the site. So, I'm pleased to announce the following: Adrian Monk, Denny Crane, Doctor Heinz Doofenshmirtz, and John Hancock (from the film Hancock). In addition, I have three new characters in the Music Section. The Boxer, Mystery Man, and Nola.

07/12/2009 -- There won't be a lot of updates until after GenCon. I've finished the final 6th Edition edits of Kazei 5 2nd Edition, and it now totals in at 213,440 words. I'm waiting for GenCon and the official 6E release before I start on anything new. There will be both 5E and 6E updates in the future, depending on the character in question and if it will be possible to use Hero Designer to migrate data over. In any event, I won't be converting the bulk of the site over. There's no real point to it.

That said, there are some new characters on the site. In the Music Section there's the Horse Tamer's Daughter, Red Horse Rider, and Veteran of the Psychic Wars. In the RPG Adaptations section, there's The Strangled Scream and his follower, The Bound. In the Creatures section, you'll find the Iron Kingdom's Boatman.

06/04/2009 -- Fixed some of the errors in the Water Vehicles section. Also added a few new characters to the Music Adaptations. Finally, updated Shadows Angelus III.

06/03/2009 -- Kazei 5 2nd Edition is complete. Well, the first draft is, and totals 209,000 words or so. It will need to be migrated to 6th Edition HERO System and hopefully will be ready to go come GenCon 2009. I've uploaded a huge number of new military vehicles, so take a look. Over in the world books section, there's a new setting: Shadows Angelus III. This is a "reboot" of the original game, run by a different group. Updates will come as material is sent to me.

03/29/2009 -- Well... I lost my job. On the other hand, I've done a lot of updating to the site. Let me see if I can recall it all. First, Over on Asian Cinema I have The Machine Girl, from the film of the same name. The Move Adaptations sees Alice (Resident Evil), Freddy Kruger (Nightmare on Elm Street), and Po (Kung Fu Panda). On the Vehicles page you have the Flettner FL282, a WWII helicopter (with more to come). Under Original Characters I have the Koyotie Project. The Photo Gallery is loaded with new material, including a huge 3+ page look at the aircraft of the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center and a gallery devoted to Ragamuffin, the cutest kitten in the world. I added a lot of place-holder images to Pictures That Could Be Superheroes, but not all have color text yet. I suspect the World Books, specifically the Kazei 5 page, will see some changes, especially once I complete Kazei 5 second edition. Well, that's it for now!
