Description: Standing about as tall as the average Hunting Person, Leaping People are ferret/rat-like humanoids. As their name suggests their legs are quite strong and enable them to jump great distances. They are covered in a short coat of soft fur, often white or light gray in color. They have elongated snouts, tall ears atop their heads, think heads of hair, and thin tail. They are some of the most slender of the people of the Well, with slight, albeit strong, builds. Much like Hunting People, the ears and tail of a Leaping Person makes their emotions somewhat transparent to outside observers.
Leaping People are as widespread as Hunting and Farming People, although they prefer the Forests. As with the Farming and Hunting People, they have no set society or culture, and often dwell in the same communities as Farming and Hunting People. Their clothing is cut to allow them a certain degree of free movement—for example, only the most rich and decedent of Leaping People women will wear a floor-length dress.
This character sheet represents an average Leaping Person warrior. Non-warriors, as well as younger (and older) Leaping People will have slightly lower Characteristic and different Skills.
