Description: Despite their name, the Forest People live almost exclusively in the Jungle. They’re somewhat shorter than Farming People, with lean, rangy builds. They tend to be green-skinned, with dark hair, long fingers, and feet that can be used almost as well to manipulate their objects as their hands. Their eyes and ears are larger than normal, with their ears coming to a distinctive elf-like or animal-like tapering point.
Forest People tend toward a hunter-gather lifestyle, wearing little more than animal skins (if that) and using mostly Stone-age technology (i.e. chipped stone knives, axes, and spears.) They have little to no segregation based on gender—male and female Forest People share all duties equally—and tend towards societies that are communism in its purest sense. They’re usually no single tribal leader, food is shared equally among all tribe members, and little to no concept of personal properly.
Some Forest People dwell in settlements, (often with Beast People) and tend towards a more agrarian society. These settlements often trade with the great trading caravans, swapping woven goods, dried fruits, feathers, skins, and spices for pottery and metal goods.
This character sheet represents an average Forest Person warrior. Non-warriors, as well as younger (and older) Forest People will have slightly lower Characteristic and different Skills.
