MECHA OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR

The Second World War saw extensive use of various forms of mecha, as both the Allies and the Axis worked to develop the perfect "land battleship." These two pictures show mecha in action on the Eastern front, where many such German armored units enjoyed great success against the Russian, who had no real mecha of their own, instead concentrating their efforts on conventional tank forces (such as the excellent T-34, the bane of German armor and mecha for the duration of the war).
