Ecology: An Aidan-Cath (“little fire cat”) is a creature of the Elemental Plane of Fire. They aren’t normally found on Earth, unless they have been summoned by a sorcerer to serve as his familiar. Despite being made from “living fire,” they behave much like domestic cats, although they prefer sleeping in the fireplace as opposed to sunlit windowsills.
Personality/Motivation: Normal animal motivations. Aidan-Caths are highly intelligent and tend to be very affectionate to their master. However, care must be taken to treat them well, as they have been known to become destructive if offended or otherwise annoyed.
Powers/Tactics: Although formed from masses of fire, an Aidan-Cath is normally cool enough to be handled safely. However, if it so desires, the Aidan-Cath can become hot enough to incinerate a man in mere seconds. On the other hand, a content Aidan-Carth normally acts as a living candle, providing light (and a small amount of heat) to the local area. Due to their origins on the Elemental Plane of Fire, Aidan-Cath fear water and will quickly flee from rain, spraying fountains, and the like.
Appearance: The typical Aidan-Cath resembles a Persian cat in shape and size, however instead of soft fur, its covered in brilliant yellow-orange flames.
Designer's Notes: I’m not sure where I found the image I used to create the Aidan-Cath, but the default answer is “4chan.” Building the fire-cat was fairly simple, starting with the Hero Designer file for a Domestic Cat from the HERO System Bestiary, adding in the Familiar template, adding some Immunity to Fire powers from... hmm... either the HERO System Bestiary or the UNTIL Super Powers Database, and I was all set.
