Background/Personality: Speedy was tragically born without a torso. How can a child survive a catastrophic birth defect like that? Thankfully, his mother’s doctor was the famous Dr. Seltzer, who besides being an obstetrician, was also an expert on gastrointeracidology. Quickly grafting a large experimental stomach acid control tablet onto the boy, he saved the child’s life. His growth was artificially stunted so that he would not outgrow the medicinal tablet that takes the place of his chest.

But what kind of a life is it to be made mostly of a pharmaceutical remedy? Surprisingly, Speedy grew up with a remarkably, almost irritatingly, cheerful attitude, and dealt with his deformity with aplomb. His mother got him into show business at a young age, and the child actor was lucky enough to land the role of lead spokesman for Dr. Seltzer’s new invention – Alka Seltzer.

Speedy sang and danced his way into the hearts of the American public, becoming a champion for the pharmaplegics everywhere.

Quote: “Plop, plop. Fizz, fizz. Oh, what a relief it is to smother you in my cute bubbly torso.”

Tactics/Powers: Speedy has a torso made of a giant Alka Seltzer tablet, which he can convert from solid to fizzy semisolid at will. When it’s fizzing, he can grab a target and force his head into the foamy substance, suffocating and blinding him at once.

Roleplaying Notes: Lassie’s Timmy meets Elijah Wood.
