Tabitha Smith

Background/History:  Born in Virginia, her powers manifested at 13, much to the disgust of her parents. She lives homeless for a time, and kills a person who kills her best friend. Trained by the Vanisher to be a thief, she also was trained by Cable to fight, and had a torrid love affair with Cannonball (Sam Guthrie), but was left with a broken heart. She's been abducted by the Mutant Liberation Front, the Right, and the Genoshan Magistrates. She's been with many teams including XFactor, Fallen Angels, New Mutants, XForce, and now Nextwave. She’s also had numerous codenames, all of which apparently “sucked.”

Personality/Motivation:  She’s blonde. No really, play this up. See her quotes for ideas. Oh, yeah, she likes to blow stuff up (Tick, tick, tick, boom!) and steal all of your stuff.

Powers/Tactics:  A mutant, Tabitha originally had the power to create psionic balls of energy, which she calls her "time bombs". These "bombs" explode with concussive force. She can produce marble-sized "bombs" which have little concussive impact and which she uses for playing pranks. She has produced "time bombs" ranging up to the size of beach balls, which, when they explode, can smash tree trunks and even metal objects. Tabitha can control the amount of time between the creation of one of her "bombs" and the time it detonates. She can mentally muffle the sound of the detonation. Tabitha is a fair hand-to-hand combatant, coached in unarmed combat by Cable, an excellent player of video games, and is an accomplished thief, having been trained by the Vanisher.
