Background/History: Gabriel Malak was born to parents of mixed blood, very mixed blood. Awinita, his mother, was a Cherokee Indian who was half human half entity. His father was Paul Malak, a psionic with esper and psychokinetic abilities who was of Gypsy decent. When Gabriel was born his parents studied his astrological charts and consulted a Cherokee medicine man. From these investigations they came up with his name, Gabriel Yana Malak.
His parents lived a full life, since each fought against the Lucifer Folk in their own way, and often apart, they did not spend a great deal of time raising Gabriel, who was in the care of a nanny much of the time. The pair were unaware that their son's nanny was under the mental influence of a group of powerful individuals. She constantly abused Gabriel, physically as well as mentally, and Gabriel was convinced that if he told his parents his nanny would kill him. All during this time Gabriel was unaware of what his parents did, and thus didn't understand why they were away so much.
By the time Gabriel was 16 he had grown into a rough and violent young man, driven to the brink by his constant fear and abuse he turned to alcohol and drugs to escape, which led him right into the arms of evil. The forces against him were molding Gabriel, hoping to turn him into a loyal and heartless killer before his mixed blood yeilded any power to him. Through control and skilled manipulation they were able to twist what was left of Gabriel into the tool of their desires. Unloved and angry, with no concept of self Gabriel was horrified when his "powers" rose up. The voices which spoke to him, and the things he saw terrified him, and before long sent him on a rampage. During the violent outburst Gabriel mortally wounded a young woman. The look in the girls eyes as her life slipped away held Gabriel transfixed. He saw the light dim from her eyes, and finally the voices made sense, they were clear to him, and they told him that he had been a puppet of monsters.
Gabriel ran, and spent the next few years running. He tried to find his parents, to punish them somehow, but met with no real success. He finally managed to locate his maternal Grandmother. She told him of her rape as a child and how Awinta was the child of a devil, and how he was 1/2 Lucifer Folk. She also told him of his father, and about his parent's battle against the evil. Grandmother's husband was a Cherokee medicine man, and he took Gabriel under his wing, to help the boy learn how to control the "great storm" inside him. While with him, Gabriel was taken on a vision quest, and saw many things, things which helpred to give him direction, and things about his parents which made it hard for him to hate them any longer.
With a sense of purpose Gabriel set out to learn about the things he'd seen in his vision quest. He began to study religions from all over the world, and the concepts of God, good and evil, magic, and psionics. All this time, Gabriel struggled to create an identity for himself from the broken fragments of his life, never forgetting the girl he'd killed in a moment of evil, and swearing to never let himself be led down that path again.
Gabriel learned how to harness his inner power, and how to speak with the spirits, and have them help him in his quest for answers. Gabriel also learned he could sense when the Lucifer Folk were around. They were part of his blood, and had been part of his crimes, and he felt a contempt for them far beyond the hatred and anger that had destroyed him as a boy.
Eventually Gabriel sought out his parents once again, but this time to join their fight against the evil. He discovered that they had been killed a few years before. So many things unsaid, Gabriel felt alone again. Turning his mind from the individual fight, Gabriel looked for someplace he could go, to fight the evil which had killed his parents and nearly him as well. That group was the AMP.
Personality/Motivation: Gabriel is a man who's exhistence can be summed up by his favorite line from the song Layin Down the Law, "Ain't no man more righteous then the fallen man reformed." He is an often cold and driven man, with moments of genorosity and openess which have been known to scare his friends with their unpredictabilty. He's a curious and inquizitive man in search of knowledge almost constantly. Religion and the obscure are his favorite subjects and he is seldon without a book, or two, with which to pass the hours.
Gabriel feels that his heritage, and the circumstances of his young life give him a duty to fight the Lucifer Folk, and he's given his life to that task. Although he was told his parents were dead, and the sources he was able to check seemed to confirm that, he often gets the odd impression that that's not the truth, but isn't sure why. In his spare time he's been doing some checking from time to time to confirm their status once and for all.

Powers and Tactics: Gabriel's powers are shaped more by his emotions then by logic. He believes that his powers are a mix of psionics and divine magic. His time with the Cherokee has tought him how to use the spirits in the world to fight evil, as well as his own inner powers.
Gabriel will go out of his way to protect the innocents, calling on the power of his wings to sheild them from harm. When in direct conflict he will call on the power of the spirits to attack the enemy outright. His hatred for the Lucifer Folk makes him unyeilding in attacks against them.
