Background/History: Artificial Humans Number 17 and Number 18 were created by Dr. Gero as his "ultimate" creations. Unlike many of his previous models, 17 and 18 are made from a human base, and are cyborgs as opposed to androids. Originally brother and sister (and not lovers as some of the Z fighters presumed), the pair hail from both Trunks' apocalyptic future as well as the "standard" Dragon Ball Z timeline. The write up here represents the main Dragon Ball Z version. The ones from Trunks' future were weaker, but also more violent. Game Masters should add "Casual Killer" (VC, S) for 20 points to the character sheet.
Number 18, the female cyborg, was activated along with Number 17 by Dr. Gero in a last-ditch attempt to destroy the Z fighters. Number 18 was more interested in Number 16's chamber, and looked to that instead. Meanwhile, Number 17 killed Dr. Gero. Escaping the destruction of Gero's lab, Number 18 accompanied Number 16 and Number 17, as they set off to find Son Goku and kill him. Along the way, Number 18 proved her prowess by beating Vegita into the dirt, breaking his arm in the process. Interestingly enough, she also expressed some minor romantic interest in Kulilin, pronouncing him "cute" at the time (Kulilin was smart enough to not get involved in the fight.).
After Number 17 was absorbed by Cell, Number 16 tried to hide Number 18. Kulilin ended up finding the pair, but was unable to bring himself to push the button on the self-destruct device he had been given. At this point, Vegita allowed Cell to absorb Number 18, becoming Perfect Cell.
Number 18 finally reappeared when Gohan punched Perfect Cell so hard it forced him to spit her back up. After the destruction of Cell, Number 18 went off on her own. Eventually (something like 7 years later) Kulilin marries Number 18, and the two end up with a daughter (Marion). For this version of Number 18, add DNPC: Marion (incomp) 8- for 15 points. Kulilin should get this DNPC as well, along with a "Loves Number 18" Psychological Limitation (Common, Strong) for 15 points.
Personality/Motivation: Number 18 is rather greedy, and at one point extorts something like 20 million zenii out of Mr. Satan. Naturally, she is highly confident of her fighting abilities.
Powers/Tactics: Number 18 is very strong, very fast and very durable. As with all artificial humans, Number 18 is virtually immune to pain, can survive in any environment and worst of all, doesn't have a chi signature. Number 18 can also fly, leap great distances and release various forms of energy blasts. She has also been shown using Kulilin's Kienzan attack.
Appearance: Number 18 is slightly below average height. She is very attractive, with a slim build and blue eyes. Her hair is blonde, straight and falls to just above her shoulders. Her costume changes constantly, but her most common look is blue jeans, sneakers, a white t-shirt, and a belt slung low on the hips.
