Nemesis

Background: Nemesis Enforcer comes from the lost civilization of Cobra-La, a hidden realm of reptile men located deep within the Himalayas. Nemesis Enforcer is said to be an artificial construct, "raised from a pile of dead things." What is know is that he has been the loyal guard of Cobra-La's leader, Golobulus for centuries. In past, he has been sent out into the world of the humans where fleeting sightings of him have given rises to legends of Vampires and Werewolves.

When Cobra-La came into conflict with the GI Joe team, Nemesis Enforcer was a part of several key operations. He lead the attack on the Joe fortress to free Serpentor, and then to steal the Broadcast Energy Transmitter. During the final assault on Cobra-La, Nemesis Enforcer was a part of Golobulus' final line of defense against the invaders. He vanished during the fight, and is assumed dead.

Personality/Motivation: Nemesis Enforcer is fanatically loyal to Golobulus, carrying out his every order unquestioningly. Um, there's not much to say beyond that, actually. He's kind of mute and all he ever does is stand there and do whatever he's told by whoever's giving the orders (Usually Golobulus, but he also took orders from Pythona and Serpentor). Um... Moving right along. It might have been just me, but he seemed to have something personal in for Cobra Commander. Of course, since he doesn't (or can't) talk, we'll likely never know.

Quote: "..."

Tactics/Powers: Damn it, but he's big. He's about eight feet tall and throws around tanks. Or, if her prefers, he can cut them open with his forearm blades. If that wasn't enough, Nemesis Enforcer is so tough as to be practically bulletproof. He carries with him an, er, odd assortment of weaponry including blindness-inducing spores and throwing squids. I wish I was making this up.

Appearance: Nemesis Enforcer is about eight feet tall and incredibly solidly built. He has pink skin, which is odd given that most of Cobra-La's population have green or blue skin. He has large, leathery, bat-like wings on his back. He wears an odd purple and crimson uniform, although it could actually be a part of his skin. Sometimes you don't want to think about it.

Conversion Notes: Nemesis Enforcer's abilities were taken largely from what he did in the GI Joe movie. In it, he's seen to pick up tanks and cut them open with his forearm blades so he can pull the crew out. At one point he casually walks through a hail of gunfire, all but ignoring it, retrieves Serpentor from his cell and then walks back shielding Serpentor from the gunfire with his own body! Curiously, his resilience came to naught when at the end of the movie, Sgt. Slaughter (I wish I was making this up) knocked him out with his bare hands. (Hence the relatively low amount of PD & ED)

The weaponry used in the write-up was all that he was seen to use in the movie, with both being used only the once each (The Throwing Squids were used in the second most memorable scene in the movie where Sgt. Slaughter is knocked to the ground with one stuck to his face.) he may use other equally odd weapons. The tentacles weren't used in the movie, but were a part of his action figure.

I figure that GI Joe is a 75 + 75 point campaign. That would allow for near-superhuman ninjas (e.g. Snake-Eyes) and custom weapons (e.g. Roadblock's M2 .50 cal machine-gun). NE here is clearly overpowered for such a campaign.

Even though he never spoke, the closing credits of the movie has him as being voiced by Peter Cullen. Odd.
