Kiros was a soldier in the Galbaldian army, specialising in close-combat weaponry. During the timber conflict, he and Ward were assigned to work with a junior officer, Laguna Loire. The three of them became fast friends. When they were reassigned to Centra, Kiros was happy to work with Laguna again, even though he knew it meant bumbling around and occasionally getting lost. However, on one mission, Kiros was severely injured by Estharian forces, and thrown off a cliff into the ocean below.
Kiros was recovered by the Galbaldian army, but found that he had become separated from Ward and Laguna. As soon as he recovered, he quit the army, and searched the world to find Laguna and Ward. He finally came across Laguna in the small town of Winhill, and for a while helped him with his patrols and monster hunting. When Ellone was kidnapped by the Estharian army, Kiros found it only natural to follow his old commander once more.
Kiros is a straight man to Laguna's bumbling, stumbling ways. He's always the reliable, upstanding and sensible one of the three, acting as Laguna's common sense. He is honest, and in all ways loyal and dedicated to Laguna.
Kiros wields a pair of katars with trained skill, striking with both in one graceful stroke. When pressed, he unleashes a rapid series of blows, cutting through the enemy faster than can be seen.
Kiros is a tall, slender, dark-skinned man in his mid-twenties. He has brown eyes and black hair, kept very short save for a trio of dreadlocks at the back of his scalp. He has a rather effeminate look, and can occasionally be mistaken for a woman.
