Description: Possibly autobiographical (or an idealized autobiography), the protagonist of Son Of A Son Of A Sailor seems to be based on Jimmy Buffett himself, who really did spend time cruising the Caribbean while living out of his boat. In this character sheet, I've taken the liberty of mixing elements of Son Of A Son Of A Sailor with the song A Pirate Looks At Forty to create a single, composite, character. In truth, the two go together quite well, creating a well-rounded and interesting character. Game-wise "Son" makes an excellent contact for PCs who find themselves in the Caribbean. He's been around, knows the islands, knows how to handle a boat, and knows a little of the illicit drug trade. He's not a major player (a little smuggling—Cuban cigars maybe—a little grass running), but he did well enough to make his share of money. These days, however, he's faced with the prospect of growing old and the rather depression fact (for him anyway) that the last Spanish treasure fleet sailed well over 200 years ago. Still, he might find it within himself to engage in one last adventure, especially if it's on the high seas.

To make "Son" more powerful, give him some appropriate ex-smuggler Contacts, more AK and PS skills (relating to the islands and odd jobs performed on and around them), WF: Handguns, some Languages (French, Spanish, Creole), and boat powerful enough he'd need to pay points for it.
