Ecology: Gugs live far below ground in the Dreamlands Underworld, where they were banished long ago by the Great Old Ones. Currently they dwell in single city, preying on ghasts and anything else they can catch. In turn, gugs are prey for the ghasts and the ghouls.
Personality/Motivation: The primary motivation for a gug is the acquisition of food.
Powers/Tactics: Normally a gug fights by swiping with its huge paws. Any creature disabled by paw swipes will be picked up and devoured. If confronted by ghouls, gugs tend to flee.
Appearance: A typical gug is a 20' tall looming humanoid covered in bristly black hair. The face of a gig is divided vertically, with large fangs. The arms of a gug split at the elbow, ending in four forearms and four broad hands equipped with nasty claws.
Designer's Notes: Gugs are the creation of H.P. Lovecraft and are found in his Dreamworld stories. This design is based off of information found in the 5th Edition of Call of Cthulhu. Suggestions for a gug include giving them some sort of Area of Effect (Hex) Advantage for their huge hands (Lovecraft said a single paw was two feet across!).
