Ecology: Deep Ones live in marine environments, deep beneath the waves. The exact depths are unknown, and some say they dwell at the bottom of the oceans. Deep Ones live off of fish and offerings from human worshipers. Deep Ones are immortal and continue growing throughout their lives. Father Dagon and Mother Hydra are supposed to be two Deep Ones that are over 20 feet tall and several millions of years old.

Personality/Motivation: Worshipers of Cthulhu (and well as his servants), Deep Ones are noted to be cruel and evil. Alien in mindset, their exact motives are unknown, but they do seem to desire to breed with humans, producing hybrids that will mutate into a Deep One after about 20 years or so spent as a human.

Powers/Tactics: Normally Deep Ones use long hunting spears (1d6 HKA, AP), although they will use their claws if needed. Deep Ones are not stupid and will flee if an encounter goes against them. They will also use their amphibious nature to their advantage, attacking from areas of sea water or trying to drive a target into the same.

Appearance: A Deep One is an amphibious fish-man. They are human-sized and humanoid-shaped, with greenish-gray skins and white bellies. Their backs are scaled, while their hands are webbed. Deep Ones have great bulging eyes that never close and gills in their necks. They move (hop really) on both two legs and four.

Designer's Notes: Deep Ones are creatures of the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft. This design was based upon the Deep One presented in the 5th Edition of Call of Cthulhu. Options include giving them spells (usually related to the sea), Life Support vs Pressure, and Growth. How fast they grow is up the Game Master, as Father Dagon and Mother Hydra are 20 feet tall but also several million years old.
