Background/History: Girl One is a bioengineered women designed and built by Mickey Millions and Roy Radium. She was made a Neopolis Police Officer presumably to test her physical abilities. Unfortunately, Mickey and Roy aren't exactly as to clear about why they made her, preferring to discuss Girl One's physical attributes the only time they appear (For example: "How did she perform? Should her legs have been longer?").
Personality/Motivation: For the most part, Girl One is an average individual, with no excessive emotional hang-ups. However, she certainly has a reckless streak, and is very confident in her physical skills and her ability to perform in combat. She jumps into action without (seemingly) a second thought, but then, her physical abilities are fairly impressive.
It should be noted that Girl One does display a certain degree of anger at Sergeant Kemlo Caesar when she discovers that as a dog, he's color blind (and thus see her as she really is... which is "naked" (see Appearance below). She also leaps in front of Commissioner Ultima to save Captain Jetman and Synaesthesia despite the fact Ultima was charging up an energy blast at the time (It's this action that leads to Girl One's death. Ultima's blast blows Girl One across the room and mortally wounds her).
Quote: "I'm built for this kind of action!"
Powers/Tactics: It would seem Girl One's bioengineered powers make her both strong, and fast, with an excellent sense of balance. Among the feats we see demonstrated (or mentioned) in the series are: doing a backflip off of the roof of a two-story building, performing a one-handed handstand while eating an apple, bending steel pipes to form bonds, kicking a solid wooden door off of its hinges, and punching out a robot. On top of all this she is very fast, and can quickly cross a crowded room with a combination of running and acrobatics. Finally, I included the Damage Reduction based on the fact she wasn't Stunned and/or Knocked Out by Ultima's energy blast. Since Girl One took a lethal amount of BODY, but remained conscious (sort of), it seemed liked the best choice.
Based on some of her fight scenes, I included a simple set of martial arts. These maneuvers were selected based on her fighting style, which seems to involve a great deal of movement. The rest of her skills reflect her experience as a police officer, as nothing else is known about her home life.
In a fight, Girl One's tactics are simple: hit them hard and fast. She tends to close with the enemy quickly, and take them out in as short as time as possible.
Appearance: Girl One is tall and leggy, with a slender, athletic physique. Based on a scene of her standing next to 8' tall Ernesto Gograh, a rough estimate puts her at close to 6' tall and about 150-160 lbs. Her hair is black, and falls past her shoulder blades, while her skin is a pale purple color. Girl One can change the color of her skin (and hair) at will, producing patterns all over her body that serve as Girl One's "costume" (yes, she goes around naked). To be blunt, I can only assume that certain parts of her body have been altered as well, or else it would highly obvious that she isn't wearing any clothing, colored body patterns or not. As a side note, Girl One loses all body patterns if surprised or startled.
Designer's Notes: This is only a speculative write-up for Girl One. As she only appeared in the first 10 issues of Top 10 it's hard to establish any real sold information about the full extent of her powers and abilities. Her quote: "I'm built for this kind of action..." seems to indicate she can take extreme amounts of abuse. I'm reluctant to beef up her defenses without any solid idea of how tough she is. Ultima killed her in one shot, which means that either Girl One isn't as tough as she thought she was, or that Ultima was really powerful (I tend to think the latter, considering how Ultima and Smaxx went a it.).
Sometime after I posted my initial draft of Girl One, Gene Ha (yes, that Gene Ha!) wrote me with some comments about Girl One (and other Top 10 characters). He suggested a better DCV and a lower INT, as "she's almost impossible to hit and not unusually clever." So, I upped her DEX to 26, her SPD to 6, dropped her INT to 10, and have her +2 DCV. I also added in some skills from the Police Officer Package Deal found in the Dark Champions 5th Edition sourcebook.
