Background/History: Kreeshka is a Ghoul, a race of men with transparent bodies (but visible skeletons) who dwell in the City of Ghouls, located on the shore of the Sea of Monsters in the deserts to the east of Sarheenmar. She is a warrior, like all Ghouls, and spends some time traveling with Fafhrd has his lover and companion.

Personality/Motivation: As a rule, Ghouls dislike the other races of Nehwon, calling them “Mud Men” since their flesh is opaque to light. They consider it their duty to transform mud-flesh to crystal-flesh by devouring it. This has led to Ghouls being feared by most other peoples of Nehwon. As for Kreeshka, she manages to put aside her distaste for mud-flesh long enough to fall in love with Fafhrd (for a time anyway). As for Fafhrd, he notes her courage, spirit, and ready (albeit dry) wit.

Quote: “All you kind seem as mud to us, whose flesh is as sparkling clear as running water in a brook untroubled by man or rains.”

Powers/Tactics: Ghouls fight with a short doubled-edged needle-pointed sword in each hand. They tend to block with one and strike with the other, but have been known to hurl their swords at a foe before closing with and fighting with the remaining blade. Ghouls also use bows and other melee weapons, but rarely. Since they don’t wear any clothing aside from a simple harness, they tend to put most of their levels in DCV, blocking and dodging blows.

Appearance: A Ghoul looks like a tall, long-limbed human with a thin, rangy build. Their hair, skin, and flesh is mostly transparent, although one can see the glisten of firelight from their skin under the right conditions. In addition, food is visible once chewed, and then fades into transparency as it’s digested. Kreeshka seems to be of average height, slender, small breasted, with shoulder length hair.

Designer's Notes: This character sheet is meant to represent both Kreeshka and a generic Nehwon Ghoul. I built her stats around the idea of the Light Fighter package from Fantasy Hero, bumping up her INT and EGO to represent her courage and ready wit. As she survives all the fights she’s in (even when her companions don’t) I gave her a 4 SPD and the +2 with HTH. Lesser Ghouls would have only a 3 SPD and maybe +1 with HTH. You can easily create tougher warriors by upping the STR, CON, and adding in things like Martial Arts and more Combat Skill Levels.
